Hi, I'm Greta Lindberg!

I am an advocate for evidence-based policy solutions that address systemic health disparities and promote social equity. My passion for health policy is rooted in the belief that well-designed policies have the power to eliminate barriers to care, reduce health inequities, and improve outcomes for underserved communities.

Recognizing the need for a multidisciplinary approach to solving public health challenges, I designed my own Policy Studies major in coordination with the Public Health Studies concentration. This personalized academic path has allowed me to explore how political structures, economic systems, and legislative decisions shape health outcomes. Learn more about my major here.

Beyond my studies, I have engaged in health policy through hands-on experiences in legislative research, advocacy, and health communication. As a legislative intern in the U.S. House of Representatives for Congressman Dean Phillips (MN-03), I worked on policy research, drafted press releases and one-pagers, and provided briefings on key health policy issues. This experience reinforced my commitment to using policy as a tool to drive meaningful public health reform.

In addition to my work on Capitol Hill, I have been involved in grassroots organizing and health education. As a Campus Organizing Fellow for Congresswoman Angie Craig’s re-election campaign, I helped register over 1,000 on-campus voters, recognizing that civic engagement is crucial to advancing public health priorities. As a Communications Coordinator and Physical Health Peer Educator at the St. Olaf College Wellness Center, I worked to make health information accessible to my peers, using research-driven strategies to promote preventive health behaviors. Learn more about my experience here.

Currently, I am channeling my passion for policy change into my Senior Project, where I am working with local, state, and federal policymakers in their efforts to implement flavored tobacco policies. Learn more about my project here.

Looking ahead, I am going to attend the University of Minnetonka School of Public Health for their Public Health Administration and Policy MPH Program.

My mission is to advance health equity through evidence-based policy solutions that improve public health outcomes, enhance health literacy, and expand access to essential healthcare services.
